Faculty of Health, Applied Sciences and Natural Resources Research Day Event

The Faculty of Health, Applied Sciences and Natural Resources held its annual Research Day on Wednesday 11 May 2022. The event featured a topical presentation by the Guest Speaker, Mr Kenneth Heinrich /Uiseb, the Dep Dir., Wildlife Monitoring & Research, Directorate of Scientific Services, MEFT on “Collaborative approaches to addressing applied conservation and natural resource management challenges in diverse and dynamic landscapes”. The event was opened by the Ag. DVC RIP, Dr Colin Stanley with warm welcoming remarks by the ED, FHAS&NR, Dr Onesmus Shuungula. Insightful presentation entitled “Creating an enabling environment for Research and Innovation” on efforts towards creating favourable research environment at NUST was presented by the ED: RIP, Dr Anna Matros-Goreses who was represented by Mr Bas Rijnen. This was followed by interesting presentations by staff members and recent graduates of the Faculty. The event, by all measurements can be adjudged to be a success.
